Northern Network for Empirical Music Research

We are the Northern Network for Empirical Music Research (NEMuR). We are a group of researchers in the North of England who are engaged in empirical research that is on, with, or for music and musicians. Our research comes from various interdisciplinary backgrounds, including Music Psychology, Music Education, Audience Studies, Performance Studies, or Media Studies.

We have set us these objectives:

• to increase communication and exchange between close music psychology/empirical music research hubs in the North of England,
• to encourage research collaboration between our varied disciplines and expertises across these institutions,
• to share teaching experience.
